Paul Fisher - bio

“Paul Fisher has a 40% research, 60% extension position in floriculture at the University of Florida. He directs two of the largest university/industry groups focused on applied research and extension for horticulture.

The “Young Plant Research Center” does applied research on liners, propagation, and crop nutrition and partners with several leading growers and nutrient, media, and fertilizer allied companies.

The “Water Education Alliance for Horticulture” helps educate growers on water quality and treatment, and is supported by water sanitation, media, and fertilizer companies.

Paul has an M.S. from New Zealand, a Ph.D. in horticulture from Michigan State University, did post-doctoral research at the University of California at Davis, and was a faculty member at the University of New Hampshire for ten years before moving to the University of Florida in 2006.”
